This family oriented community has an excellent school district which includes an "A" rated Elementary School, top ranked Middle school, and a State of the Art High School.
Residents of Monarch Lakes enjoy easy access to major highways (I-75, I-95, 826, 595, Florida Turnpike and Saw Grass Expressway) which facilitates commuting in the tristate area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Monarch Lakes is located within minutes of Florida's renowned Ft. Lauderdale and Miami beaches, as well as, Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International, Miami International airports. Two of our nation's first class seaports...Port Everglades and Port of Miami (favorite departure points for leisure cruising as well as international cargo) are located just 20 minutes away.
In addition, this community is centrally located between major shopping malls in the immediate area including but not limited to the infamous "Saw Grass Mills Mall" and Florida's newest addition the "Dolphin Mall." Supermarkets and gourmet restaurants can be found by the bundle in this area. Recreational parks such as CB Smith Park, Markham Park, Tree Tops Park and Oleta River State Recreational Park are also just minutes away and provide an array of activities for the community. Although the area has lots to offer, the residents of this community need not stray too far from home to find enjoyment as they can enjoy the exclusive amenities that Monarch Lakes has to offer to its residence which include six tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts as well a child tot lot with playground equipment for the little ones.
Monarch Lakes is a well maintained community. It has an association whose primary responsibility is to ensure the proper maintenance of the community as a whole. The association's board members consist of its residents and managed by a company chosen by its residents. The association ensures that the common areas including landscaping, lighting, streets, sprinklers, etc. are all well maintained and in working order. In addition to the universal association, there are individual associations within each community. The association fees range between $70 - $120 monthly and the payment includes both the universal Monarch Lakes association and the specific subdivision's maintenance fees.
